Replaced 20 old 2kw metal halide lights with 16 Philips 1500w LEDs. The old lights had seen better days.
The new 16 Philips LEDs gave us approx 408 lx and brilliant uniformity. Hockey is played all the time on this pitch, so the college had to have an installation that fulfilled that criteria.
The college were so pleased with Sports Lighting’s installation. It was a little demanding sometimes.
The columns were Christies columns. The previous contractors had put metal boxes at the bases of the columns to put new ballasts in, and stopping the columns from being lowered. We removed all the boxes and took it back to its original installation. If you don’t have the the right equipment, don’t attempt to work on them.
Sports Lighting has 99% of Hydraulic Rams to lower all columns from 4mts to 22mts. Incl Abacus, Towermaster, CU Phosco and Christies.
